A place to understand what keeps you stuck and begin doing something different.
People come to therapy for many reasons. Sometimes something specific has happened. Sometimes a relationship is struggling. And sometimes there isn’t one obvious problem and you just know that the way you’ve been living, relating, or coping isn’t working as well as it once did.
Together, we can better understand the patterns that keep you stuck and build greater flexibility in how you respond to difficult thoughts, emotions, relationships, and experiences.
Types of Services
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is a place to better understand yourself while making meaningful changes in how you live. My approach is active and collaborative. We will explore your history when it helps us understand what is happening in the present, while also paying attention to the thoughts, emotions, and patterns that influence how you respond, and the choices that move you toward or away from the life you want.
Couples Therapy
Couples can become caught in patterns that neither partner intended to create. Conversations turn into arguments, one partner pursues while the other withdraws, intimacy changes, or old hurts begin showing up in new conflicts. My role isn’t to decide who is right. It’s to help you better understand these patterns and develop more flexible ways of responding to one another.
Our work may focus on communication, conflict, trust, intimacy, sexuality, attachment, infidelity, major transitions, differing needs, or decisions about the future of the relationship. I also work affirmatively with LGBTQ+ couples and consensually non-monogamous and polyamorous relationships.
Concierge Therapy
For individuals whose professional or personal circumstances require an additional level of privacy and flexibility, I offer discreet concierge psychotherapy services in Long Beach and the surrounding area.
Unlike virtual therapy, concierge sessions can be provided in the privacy of your home or another appropriate private setting, depending on location and availability. These arrangements can be particularly useful for public-facing professionals, executives, individuals with demanding schedules, or anyone for whom privacy is an important consideration, while preserving the benefits of face-to-face therapy.
LGBTQ+ Affirming Therapy
Therapy can provide a place to examine identity, coming out, minority stress, internalized stigma, sexual shame, relationships, intimacy, body image, family, aging, gender, sexuality, or simply building a life that feels more authentically your own—without treating your identity as the problem.
